For those who might be familiar with 12 step language, the first step begins with a moment of clarity. I love that -- it's like an "ah-ha" moment when the fog starts to clear, things start to make sense, maybe the unconscious is made more conscious and a path starts to surface. Step one is the start of an important journey of healing and recovery.
I thought that would be a good concept to begin this blog as well. I have been wanting to write for a long time. I've pondered what it could look like in this season, but it wasn't until this very moment I'm ready to move forward.
Can you relate to a moment of clarity in your life?
Where things that were elusive or tangled or confusing suddenly started to loosen their grip, and you were ready to walk into some steps of freedom? or healing? or growth?
My moment of clarity right now is realizing how much I love to write, wanting to support others who may benefit from reading, and knowing how I learn best is in small doses. I am a deep processor and I love to not have to rush -- to savor what I'm learning or reflecting on, to go at my own pace and soak it in. It can feel like a moment to pause, take something in and sit with it, allow it to transform me, and let it stay on my mind or be recalled fairly easily.
So here it begins. I'm intentionally keeping my posts short so that you can appreciate a pause in your day, take a deep breath, and join me on this path. I'm excited to see where it leads.
